Seacoast Bank Celebration Run

The event offers a community 5K and a one-mile fun run organized by 1st Place Sports. Distances include:

The 5K is a USATF certified course that is described as very flat, with few turns and substantial shade in the last half of the route. All 5K finishers receive a custom designed finisher medal; one-mile participants receive a 1st Place Sports fun run medal. Moisture-wicking shirts are provided to participants.

The race serves as the first event of the 2026-2027 Jacksonville Grand Prix season and distributes points toward the series for top finishers. Title sponsorship is provided by Seacoast Bank. Proceeds support high school cross country and track programs in Duval County, a summer camp scholarship program, and construction of a new three-mile running trail at the old Sunbeam Landfill in Mandarin.

Prize structure includes cash for the top three overall men and women and a masters overall prize, with age-group awards three deep in five-year categories. Overall and age-group winners also receive a watermelon in addition to regular awards. A post-race Watermelon Festival features watermelon, electrolyte popsicles, and other refreshments; a watermelon eating contest is scheduled before awards. Parking is available in various lots around 1st Place Sports. Bikes and dogs are not allowed on the course.
