Celebrate America 5K
The Celebrate America 5K is the sixth annual patriotic community event hosted by American Legion Dyer-Gunnell Post 180 in Vienna, Virginia on June 27, 2026. The event is held the weekend before Independence Day and emphasizes community support for military veterans.
The course is a 1.55 mile out and back route that travels along Center Street North and the W&OD Railroad Regional Park to a water station and turnaround at Clarks Crossing Park, then returns to the finish at Post 180. The route uses quiet neighborhood roads and the W&OD Trail. Strollers are welcome. Parking is available onsite and is best accessed via the property’s second entrance to avoid driving through the festival area. A set of stairs connects the upper parking area at the rear to the festival area.
Online registration is required. Fees are $40 online through June 25, 2026, and $45 on June 26 and race day, June 27. Packet pick-up and opening remarks are part of the event schedule. All registrants will receive a Be The One commemorative coin, a technical shirt with the race date and logo, and a reusable tote bag with patriotic items and coupons. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers.
