Cedar Polka Fest - Race Series
The Cedar Polka Fest - Race Series takes place in Cedar, Michigan, on Saturday, August 29, 2026. The event address is 8998 S Kasson St, Cedar, MI 49621. The festival has been a long-running Leelanau County tradition and includes a timed community race that begins and ends in downtown Cedar. Registered participants receive complimentary admission to a pancake breakfast that benefits Cedar Area Fire & Rescue. Awards are presented at the pancake feast, and volunteers escort finishers to the breakfast.

The four-mile race is professionally timed and runs through downtown Cedar. The series welcomes runners, walkers, strollers, wheelchair racers and dogs. A virtual option is available; virtual participants receive a collectible T-shirt and support the Cedar community. Packet pick up and on-site registration are offered before and on race day at the race start area. Prizes are given to men's and women's overall 1st-3rd and age group winners.
