Cedar Polka Fest Race Series

The Cedar Polka Fest Race Series is an athletic event held in downtown Cedar, celebrating the local Polish heritage. The race series features a professionally timed main event and a fun run, both of which start and end in the downtown area near the intersection of Bellinger and Cedar Road.

Participants can choose from the following distances:

  • 4 Mile Run (Professionally timed)
  • Pierogi Fun Run (Shorter distance)
  • Virtual 4 Mile

The event is open to a wide range of participants, including runners, walkers, and users of strollers or wheelchairs. Dogs are also permitted to join the race. For those who cannot attend in person, a virtual participation option is available, which includes a collectible t-shirt.

Registration includes several amenities for participants. All runners receive a pancake and sausage breakfast. Those registered for the in-person events also receive free entry to the Polka Fest and a ticket for a beverage. To guarantee a t-shirt in a specific size, registration must be completed by August 15th.

The 4 Mile Run features competitive awards for the top three male and female finishers in various age groups. Following the races, the wider festival continues with a parade, a car show, and live music performances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
