Caudwell Children's 5K Fun Run
The Caudwell Children's 5K Fun Run is held in partnership with Keele University and takes place at the Caudwell International Children's Centre on the Keele Science and Innovation Park in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
The route is described as family-friendly and accessible to participants of all ages and abilities. The event has a spring theme, and fancy dress is encouraged with prizes available for the best costumes. Participants can choose to walk, jog, or run.
Proceeds from the event support Caudwell Children, a charity that provides services for disabled and neurodivergent children and their families. These services include Autism Assessments, Mobility and Sensory equipment, Occupational Therapy, and an employability programme.
Entry includes a space in the 5 km event, a finisher's medal, and access to fundraising resources. Key accessibility features noted are a flat route, an on-site disabled toilet, and dedicated disabled parking near the registration area and start line. Entertainment and Easter activities are available at the centre.
Registration opens on the morning of the event, and running bibs are collected at that time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
