Cateran Trail Ultramarathon
The Cateran Trail Ultramarathon is a challenging 55-mile race following ancient drove roads and tracks used by the historic Caterans, cattle thieves from the Middle Ages to the 17th century. Starting and ending at Gulabin Lodge in the Spittal of Glenshee, the route is approximately 90% off-road, featuring forest trails, rough tracks, open hillside, and scenic rural landscapes. The course includes significant elevation gain of 7,450 feet and culminates with a climb to An Lairig Pass.
