Catch the Falcon 5K Run and Walk - October 10, 2026
The event takes place at Daytona State College, Daytona Campus, 1200 W International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL, with participants meeting at the Daytona State Soccer Stadium. It is presented as part of the DSC Homecoming weekend.
The event format is a 5K run and walk with a distance of 3.1 Miles. There are separate entries for general participants and students, and children under 12 enter free. Registration options include online pre-race registration and onsite race day registration; listed entry fees are Pre Race Registration (Online) $25, Race Day Registration (Onsite) $30, and Students $15. Packet pick up is available Friday, October 9 during the Alumni & Friends Social (5:00 pm to 7:00 pm) at the Daytona State Soccer Stadium, and on race day from 7:00 am to 7:45 am at the same location.
Amenities include a custom race shirt, a finisher medal, chip timing managed by Runner's High Timing and Race Management, a new course routed on the paved roads around the college, and post-race refreshments. The top two finishers receive a pair of shoes (up to $100 value). All event proceeds are directed to Daytona State College student scholarships. The 5K is one of several Homecoming activities such as movie night, alumni social events, tailgate, soccer and volleyball matches, golf outing, and alumni softball and baseball games.
