All proceeds after costs will go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford and Cecil Counties.
Distances and entries
- 5K - Catch-A-Pig 5K (open to ages 13 - 99)
- 5K - Piglet 5K (kids run, open to ages 6 - 12)
- 1 mile - Bacon Stroll (walk)
Additional entries include a dog walk option and a Wolves category open to ages 14 - 18.
Format and rules
The event includes a timed "chase" format. Young runners in pig shirts - the piglets - start with a three minute head start on adult runners. Runners who pass at least one piglet before the finish are entered into a special drawing for prizes. A small group called the Wolves will start seven minutes later; if all Wolves pass a runner, that runner loses eligibility for the drawing. Children under 13 selected as piglets receive a free pig t-shirt. Dogs may join if registered and kept on a leash. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
