Catamount Weekly Trail Running Race
Catamount Outdoor Family Center runs a weekly trail race series at 592 Governor Chittenden Road in Williston, VT. The series offers multiple course distances and separate adult and youth entry categories. Distances include:
- 2.5 km Half Lap, adult and youth categories.
- 5 km 5K race, adult and youth categories.
- 10 km 10K race, adult and youth categories.
Entry fees listed for the event examples are $20 for adult categories and $15 for youth categories. Races are held rain or shine; if delays or cancellations are necessary, organizers post updates by 4:00pm on their Facebook page. If a race is canceled due to inclement weather, single night entries may be transferred to another week by emailing the organizer.
Race night procedures include weekly bib distribution at check-in and a rule not to reuse single night bibs to avoid duplicate results. Bib pickup and check-in occur before the event on race nights. Runners who start but do not finish are asked to check in at the tent so organizers can confirm safety. A water refill station is available near the bike wash.
