Event overview

The Everyone Runs Catalina State Park 50-Year Trail Race and 5k Trail Run & Walk is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Catalina State Park in Tucson, AZ (11570 N Oracle Rd., 85737). The event offers two race options and is open to participants ages 5 to 100.

The 9.3 mile race is open to runners and run walkers who can complete the course within three hours. The 5k is open to runners and walkers.

Course and logistics

Both races start and finish in front of the park main parking lot at the end of the park road. The 9.3 mile course uses the Nature Trail, Bridal Trail, and the 50-Year Trail, with an approximately 2.7 mile out-and-back section on the 50-Year Trail; a monitor/medic will be at the turnaround. The 5k follows the Nature Trail and an out-and-back on the Bridal Trail. The course includes smooth trails and one hill, and some sections are narrow with potential traffic; course monitors will give instructions.

Registration includes a homemade Mexican breakfast, doughnuts, fruit and nuts, downloadable professional race photos, cotton and tech finisher shirts, and overall plus 5-year age group medals for top three finishers. Overall winners receive running shoes from Fleet Feet. Bib and parking pass pick-up is scheduled at Fleet Feet locations on Tanque Verde and Oracle on dates before the race.
