Event details

The Everyone Runs Catalina State Park 50-Year Trail Race and 5k Trail Run & Walk takes place in Tucson, AZ on September 20, 2026. The event includes two distances:

  • 9.3 Mile Trail Race
  • 5k Trail Run

The 9.3 mile event is open to runners and run-walkers who can complete the course within three hours. Both events are open to ages 5 to 100.

Course

Both races start and finish in front of the park main parking lot at the end of the park road. The courses use the Nature Trail and Bridal Trail. The 9.3 mile race continues onto the 50-Year Trail for an out-and-back section of about 2.75 miles; a monitor/medic will be at the turnaround. The 50-Year Trail includes narrow sections and areas with traffic, and course rocks mark the correct route.

Entry and logistics

Reported entry prices are $56.50 for the 9.3 mile race and $39.50 for the 5k; prices increase after July 12, 2026. Registration benefits include a homemade Mexican breakfast, doughnuts, fruit and nuts, professional race photos to download, cotton and tech finisher shirts in male and female sizing, and overall and 5-year age group medals for 1st to 3rd place. Overall winners receive running shoes from Fleet Feet. Dogs are not permitted. Entry fees are not refundable and bib transfers require prior approval.
