Castle to River Run
The Castle to River Run takes place in the Hudson Valley on October 25, 2026 in Garrison, NY. The event includes multiple distances and serves as a fundraiser for The Friends of Philipstown Recreation, a 501c3 that supports recreational programs and facilities in Cold Spring, Garrison, Nelsonville and Continental Village.

The 1/2 marathon runs through Hudson Highlands State Park and down to the Hudson River, passing Osborn Castle along the castle driveway. The course includes single track, double track, dirt roads, and some paved sections. Trails vary from mostly runnable to mildly technical with some more challenging stretches and rolling hills. The 5K is mainly dirt single track and grass, generally flattish with a few hills.
There is one aid station on the half marathon course, reached twice during a short loop, offering water, sports drink, and basic snacks; there is no aid station on the 5K. Only registered runners may access the Castle and Forest Farm Road property during the race; spectators are not allowed on those sections.
The races start and finish at the Philipstown Recreation Department at 107 Glenclyffe Drive, with parking at the recreation center. Race shirts are provided; shirt size guarantee requires signing up by October 4. The event does not offer refunds unless canceled by the organizers.
