Cholmondeley Castle Multisport Event : 26 and 27 June 2027
The Cholmondeley Castle Multisport Event takes place within the Cholmondeley Castle estate in Cheshire and offers a range of triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, aquathlon, open water swim and run races across two days. The venue includes a festival village with live music, shopping, food and drink, children’s entertainment and yoga. The open water swim uses Deer Park Mere and several run routes include Tower Hill, noted as the highest point with views of the Beeston and Peckforton Hills.
Races cover multiple distances and age categories. Examples include:
- Gauntlet triathlon: 1.9 km swim, 84 km bike, 21 km run.
- Olympic triathlon: 1.5 km swim, 42 km bike, 10.5 km run.
- Sprint and Super Sprint triathlons with shorter swim, bike and run legs.
- Junior triathlon categories for ages 9 to 16 with age-appropriate distances.
- Duathlon options including middle, standard and sprint formats.
- Aquabike and aquathlon in standard and sprint distances.
- Standalone swims and road races from 1 mile to marathon distance.
This is a British Triathlon permitted event. Competitors in triathlon or multisport races must either hold an annual British Triathlon membership or purchase a single use Race Pass. Podium presentations take place for all races and all finishers receive a medal, which can be personalised. Photography is available around the course, finish area and event village.
