About the race
The Cholmondeley Castle Multisport Event is a two day festival of multisport racing set within the grounds of Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire on 26 and 27 June 2027. The programme includes triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, aquathlon, open water swimming and running events across a range of distances. A festival village within the estate features live music, shopping, food and drink, children’s entertainment and yoga. Race formats and examples of distances include: - Marathon run 42.2 km - Half Marathon run 21.1 km - 10 km run - Triathlon Gauntlet Middle 1.9 km swim 84 km bike 21 km run - Triathlon Olympic 1.5 km swim 42 km bike 10.5 km run - Triathlon Sprint Plus 800 m swim 42 km bike 8 km run - Swim events 5 km, 2.5 km, 1 mile Junior races are provided for ages 9 to 16 with age specific distances and draft rules varying by day and age group.
The event is British Triathlon permitted; competitors must hold an annual British Triathlon membership or purchase a single use race pass to participate in triathlon or multisport races. A family campsite is available in the castle grounds with camping pitches offered. Photographers are positioned around the course and event areas and official digital photos and a finisher medal are provided for participants, with medal insert personalisation available.
