Castle Hills Turkey Trot 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The 14th annual Castle Hills Turkey Trot is a neighborhood run held at Lake Avalon Park in Lewisville, Texas, on November 26, 2026. The event includes a timed 5K run/walk and an untimed 1 mile fun run. Children aged four and under may register for the 5K or 1 mile for free.
The event raises funds for local and international charitable work. Over the past thirteen years the Turkey Trot has donated $415,000 to efforts that feed the hungry, clothe the poor, house the homeless, care for orphans, provide clean water, support abused people, and rescue sex-trafficked victims.
Registration fees vary by date and category. Race shirts are limited and are pre-ordered; availability is not guaranteed. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the event at Lake Avalon Park. The event is held outdoors rain or shine and fundraising proceeds go to charity. No refunds are provided for evacuation due to severe weather.
Awards are given for overall male and female in the 5K and 1 mile, for top finishers by age group in the 1 mile, and for the top three male and female in each 5K age group.
