Course and Setting
The Castalia Cold Creek 5K Race follows an out-and-back course that is accurately marked. The route is scenic, passing through both in-town and rural settings and includes some hills. The start and finish lines are in downtown Castalia. Mile splits and a water stop are provided along the course.
Registration and Fees
A pre-registration fee of $30 is available until midnight on July 15, 2026. This fee guarantees a race shirt. Registration on the day of the race costs $35. Day-of-race check-in and registration begins at 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Water Street in downtown Castalia.
Schedule and Logistics
Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, July 17, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. It will be held at The Cold Creek Registration Table during the opening night of The Festival. After the race, refreshments are served.
Awards
Awards are distributed immediately after the race. Awards are given to the first overall male and female runner, the first overall male and female walker, and the top three finishers in each male and female age group.
