Castalia Cold Creek 5K Race

The Castalia Cold Creek 5K Race is a marked out-and-back 3.1 mile course that starts and finishes in downtown Castalia at 105 North Water Street. The route passes through town and adjacent rural roads and includes some hills. The course features mile splits and one water stop along the way.

Registration opens January 19, 2026 and closes July 15, 2026. The pre-registration fee is $30.00; pre-registration completed before midnight on July 15, 2026 guarantees a race shirt. Day-of registration is listed at $35.00. Pre-race packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, July 17 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Cold Creek registration table during the opening night of the festival.

Awards are presented immediately after the race. Awards include 1st Male and Female Overall Runner, 1st Male and Female Overall Walkers, and top three finishers in each male and female age group. Age groups are: 14 & under; 15-19; 20-25; 26-30; 31-35; 36-40; 41-45; 46-50; 51-55; 56-60; 61-65; 66-70; 71-75; 76-80; 81-85; 86-90; 91+.
