Casey Cares Foundation 17th Annual 5K Run/Walk
The event is a community run and walk held at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, Maryland. It features an in-person, chip-timed 5K run and a 1 Mile walk, plus virtual options for both distances. Proceeds support programs for families with critically ill children run by the Casey Cares Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Participants receive a tech shirt, race bib and finisher medal. A tech shirt order deadline is July 17. Children 8 years and under do not receive a race shirt. Awards will be presented for largest team, most spirited team and top fundraising team.
Registration details vary by entry type. Standard registration opens January 2, 2026 and standard entries close May 31, 2026. Child registrations for ages 8 and under are available at a lower fee and remain open until August 1, 2026. Fees listed for standard entries are $35 and a child registration fee is $10. Virtual entries follow the standard fee schedule where indicated.
For attendees who wish to remain at the venue after the event, add-on zoo admission tickets are available for $15 per person.
