Cascade Lakes Relay (Bend, Oregon, June 26-27, 2026)
The Cascade Lakes Relay is a multi-day team relay held in Central Oregon since 2008. The course begins near Diamond Lake Resort in the Cascade Mountains, travels through the Oregon Outback and rural agricultural areas, returns to the Cascade Lakes Highway, passes around Mt. Bachelor, and finishes in the resort community of Bend.
The event is offered in three distance formats:
- 216.6 miles, 36 legs, for teams on the full course
- 132 miles, 24 legs, same course starting at Silver Lake
- 94 miles, 18 legs, walk relay starting at Willow Butte
Teams divide the course into individual legs that vary in length. Team sizes typically range from six to twelve members depending on division. The weekend program includes a kickoff BBQ the night before at Diamond Lake, late-night music events along the route, and a finish-line festival at Riverbend Park. Registration is open; payment is required in full at registration and team registration fees are non-refundable once accepted. Teammates registered after April 1 are not guaranteed original T-shirt sizes. A portion of proceeds supports local charities through the Cascade Relays Foundation, which has distributed funds to many Central Oregon nonprofits since 2008.
