Cascade Lakes Relay
The Cascade Lakes Relay is a multi-day team relay in Central Oregon held June 25–26, 2027, with the finish in Bend, Oregon. The course begins at Diamond Lake Resort, passes through the Oregon Outback and rural agricultural areas, follows the Cascade Lakes Highway, moves around Mt. Bachelor, and ends in the resort community of Bend.
The event offers three distance options and staged legs for teams:
- CLR 36, 216.6 miles, 36 legs, 8 to 12 runners
- CLR 24, 132 miles, 24 legs, 8 to 12 runners
- Walk Relay, 94 miles, 18 legs, 6 to 12 runners
Teams divide the numbered legs among runners. The weekend includes a pre-race BBQ at Diamond Lake, on-course themed elements such as costumes and a midnight rave, and a finishline festival at Riverbend Park. Teams commonly travel between exchange points by van and may decorate their vehicles.
Administrative details: early registration for the 20th annual event is open; the registration fee is due in full at registration and is non-refundable once accepted and confirmed. Only a team captain needs to register initially; all teammates must be registered by April 1 to guarantee T-shirt sizes. Changes to division, team name, or captain can be made before the race, and bib information must be finalized by June 1.
