Cascade Express Marathon & Half Marathon : event overview
The Cascade Express Marathon & Half Marathon takes place on September 12, 2026 in the Snoqualmie Pass / North Bend area of Washington. The event offers two point-to-point races that run on a gravel trail through the Cascade Mountains and along Keechelus Lake. The marathon is a Boston Qualifier and USATF sanctioned; the half marathon is USATF certified. The event was established in 2016.

Course and logistics
The marathon features a gradual net descent of just under 1500 feet on a mostly downhill, point-to-point gravel course. The half marathon includes about 800 feet of net downhill and passes through the 2.4-mile Snoqualmie Tunnel. Runners receive a custom medal, a tech shirt, and a drop bag at the finish. Pacers are provided.
Packet pickup is held the day before the race at Snoqualmie Running (38843 SE Newton St, Snoqualmie, WA). Race-morning bib pickup can be added to registration for an additional $25. Parking is available free at the Summit I-90 Ski Area (about a 10 minute walk to the start) or at the Hyak Trailhead for a $10 day use fee (free for Washington Discover Pass holders). Shuttle buses return runners from the finish to start parking at regular intervals, approximately every 30-45 minutes. Runners are advised to bring a headlamp for the tunnel.
