CASA Color Run
The CASA Color Run is a family-friendly 5K event on June 6, 2026, held at Sycamore Middle School in Sycamore, Illinois. The course is clearly marked and supported by race volunteers and includes one water station and four color stations along the route. A post-race celebration will feature music, snacks and water.
Awards are given to the first-place male and female finishers within seven age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50 and up, though the event is intended primarily as a fun run rather than a competitive race. Pets are not permitted.
The event benefits CASA DeKalb County and proceeds support advocacy for children from DeKalb County who have experienced abuse and neglect. Registrations are non-refundable. If the race is canceled for unforeseeable circumstances such as inclement weather, it will not be rescheduled.
Registration fees and included items are age-based: $30 for ages 13 and up includes a t-shirt and color packet; $20 for ages 5–12 includes a t-shirt and color packet; children 4 and under are free but should be registered. An add-on youth small t-shirt for children 4 and under is available for $10. T-shirts are guaranteed through May 25.
Packet pickup is available on June 5 at 308 W. State St. in Sycamore using the Somonauk St. entrance, and on June 6 at Sycamore Middle School. Online and in-person registration are available through race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
