Carry Forward 5K - Nashville
The Carry Forward 5K in Nashville is a physical activity event hosted at GEODIS Park to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Participants can choose to walk, jog, or run the 5 km distance. The event is designed to support injured veterans through fundraising and community participation.
Participants have the option to complete the course in one of three symbolic ways:
- Flag: Carrying a flag to show support and patriotism.
- Fitness: Carrying a weight to represent the responsibilities veterans bear.
- Fierce: Carrying another person to symbolize one warrior supporting another.
Registration is available for individuals or squads. Adult registration fees increase after March 31, and specific rates are available for children aged 6-17, while those aged 5 and under may participate for free. Promotional rates are also provided for registered Wounded Warrior Project warriors, veterans, and active-duty military members.
All registered participants receive a kit that includes an event T-shirt, a drawstring bag, and a race bib. Medals are presented to participants at the finish line. The event grounds at GEODIS Park accommodate both the main activity and an opening ceremony. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
