Carrollton 2 Mile Fun Run
The Carrollton 2 Mile Fun Run is a community running event held at The Booster Complex in New Orleans. This race serves as the concluding event for the Carrollton Running Program season, taking place on a Sunday in mid-April. The event is hosted at the area known as "The Fly" and utilizes several fields within the complex for organization and ceremonies.
The race features a single distance for all participants:
- 2 Miles
Participation is limited to children between the ages of 7 and 13. The event is open to runners currently enrolled in the Carrollton Run Club (CRC), as well as their siblings, friends, and members of the local community. While CRC members participate for free, non-members are required to pay a registration fee.
Participants can collect their timing bibs prior to the event during a designated window at Field F or on the morning of the race at Field A. The event schedule includes time for runners to meet with coaches and perform warm-up exercises. Following the completion of the 2 Mile course, an awards ceremony is held on Field F. Trophies are presented to the top finishers in each specific age group. Parking for the event is located near Field A, in the vicinity of the railroad tracks.
