Carnlough Quarry Challenge

The Carnlough Quarry Challenge is a 5 km multi-terrain road and trail event held in Carnlough on 26 June 2026. The course starts and finishes in the village and includes a short section on a concrete road of under one mile before entering a quarry with loose limestone paths. Runners follow a sustained climb through the quarry, descend the far side and continue onto the Largy Road for a short out-and-back section that offers views of the coastline and, in suitable conditions, Scotland. The return route drops back into the village and passes under a limestone bridge before the finish.

Entry is open to participants aged 16 and over; parental consent is required for under 18s. Affiliated entry fee is £15.00 and non-affiliated entry fee is £17.00. Entries open 15 April 2026 and close 24 June 2026. Parking is available in the village and at the Community Centre. The event is organized by Glenlough Running Club. No transfers or refunds are available. An event disclaimer and a cancellation and refund policy apply. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
