Carnegie Volunteer Fire and Rescue Bureau 5K Run / Walk
The event is the 19th annual 5K run and walk held to benefit the Carnegie Volunteer Fire and Rescue Bureau. It takes place on April 18, 2026, and is associated with the CVFRB Station at 201 West Main Street.
The Carnegie Volunteer Fire and Rescue Bureau is a 100 percent volunteer service that provides 24 7 fire and emergency services to the Boroughs of Carnegie and Pennsbury Village. Members take part in monthly training, run the Firefighter Phil Program, deliver classroom fire safety programs at Carnegie Elementary, and organize periodic fire drills at various high rise apartment buildings. The bureau also participates in community celebrations and parades.
The event is used in part to raise additional funds beyond borough support. Published fee levels include early registration at $20, a reduced rate of $15 for first responders and military, and $10 for children 10 years and younger and for Carlynton students. Sponsorship levels are listed as Platinum $1000 and up, Gold $500 to $999, Silver $250 to $499, and Bronze $249 and under. A race route map and registration form are referenced as part of the event materials. The bureau extends thanks to sponsors and donors who support operational and fundraising efforts.
