Carlton Daze 5K Run/Walk
The Carlton Daze 5K Run/Walk is a family-friendly, chip-timed 5K held in Carlton, Minnesota. The course runs through the town and along a scenic stretch of Jay Cooke State Park via the Willard Munger State Trail and includes two water stops. Strollers are welcome on the course; dogs are not permitted. Walkers must remain walking during the walking division while runners should register under the runner category.
Registration opens June 1, 2026 and closes July 11, 2026. Pricing includes a shirt with an opt-out option that reduces the fee by $10; participants may donate that amount to Carlton County Animal Rescue, the event charity partner. General fees listed are: ages 18 and older $35 through July 10 then $40 thereafter, ages 9 to 17 $25, ages 5 to 8 free without a shirt, and ages 0 to 4 do not need registration unless purchasing a shirt. All registration fees are non-refundable.
Awards and post-race activities are part of the event. Medals are awarded to the overall top three men and women in both walking and running divisions for ages 14 and older, and to the top three boys and girls in the running division ages 13 and under. Additional age group placings are posted. A gift card giveaway follows the awards, and post-race refreshments include bottled water and fresh fruit.
