Carlton Daze 5K Run/Walk - July 24, 2026
The Carlton Daze 5K Run/Walk is a family-oriented, chip timed 5-kilometer event held in Carlton, Minnesota at 90 Chestnut Avenue. The course runs through the heart of Carlton and includes a scenic stretch of Jay Cooke State Park via the Willard Munger State Trail. The course includes two water stops. Participants register in separate runner and walker categories; runners line up at the front and walkers line up behind, and walkers are expected to walk only.
This edition highlights a historic local fire truck celebrating its 100th year; the truck will lead the 5K, appear on this year’s event t-shirts and be on display after the race for photographs. Post-race refreshments include bottled water provided by Caywood Country Store, fresh fruit supplied by Jim N Jo’s Catering, and cupcakes to mark the fire truck anniversary. An awards ceremony follows the race with medals for the overall top three men and women in both walking and running divisions and top three men and women posted for each age group 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 plus. A gift card giveaway will take place after awards; all entrants are entered.
Registration information and fees are set by the organizer. Pricing includes a t-shirt with a $10 discount available for the no-shirt option.
