Carlingford 5k Road Race 2026
The Carlingford 5k Road Race is an AAI approved event organised by Glenmore AC in Carlingford, Co. Louth. A permit has been approved for the event (cert. no. 25/639). The programme includes juvenile races and a senior 5k race; prizes are awarded across multiple age categories and team classifications.
Juvenile race distances:
- U9: 500 m (born 2018 or after)
- U11: 750 m (born 2016 or 2017)
- U13: 1000 m (born 2014 or 2015)
- U15: 1200 m (born 2012 or 2013)
Juvenile prizes include trophies for first to third and medals for fourth to tenth across the listed age groups. There are also prizes for an Additional Needs race, with trophies for first to third and medals for all participants.
Senior 5k details note entry eligibility for those born in 2011 or before, separate male and female podium prizes for first to third, and team awards for the top teams of three. Team cups are presented to the first men’s and first ladies’ teams. Age-category awards cover U20 and masters age bands (O/40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70) with medals for first and second in each band. Club-specific trophies are awarded to top Glenmore athletes.
Course records are listed as 14:23 for the male record and 16:30 for the female record; a €300 prize is offered for breaking the course record. Online ticketing information indicated a 5km ticket price of €25 and a ticket sales window from 2026-01-01 to 2026-08-05, with the 5km entry shown as sold out.
