Carlingford 5k Road Race 2026
The Michael Fearon and Kevin Marron 5KM Road Race is a 5 km road event organised by Glenmore AC in Carlingford, Co. Louth. The event has an approved permit, cert. no. 25/639, and is AAI approved.
The senior 5k is open to anyone aged 15 years and above. Senior prizes include 1st to 3rd places for male and female finishers, and 1st and 2nd team prizes for male and female teams of three. Team cups are awarded to the first men's team and the first ladies team. Age categories include U20 with 1st and 2nd prizes for male and female, and masters categories O/40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70 with medals for 1st and 2nd male and female.
Juvenile races are organised by age with the following distances:
- U9: 500 m
- U11: 750 m
- U13: 1000 m
- U15: 1200 m
Juvenile prizes cover U9, U11, U13 and U15 with trophies for 1st to 3rd and medals for 4th to 10th. An Additional Needs Race offers trophies for 1st to 3rd and medals for all. Juvenile entry on the line is €3. Online early-bird ticketing is listed at €20 and online sales are available between 01 January 2026 and 05 August 2026. Current course records are 14:23 for the male race and 16:30 for the female race; a €300 prize is offered for breaking a course record.
