The Capt'n Karl's Trail Series - Muleshoe Bend is a nighttime trail running event held at the Muleshoe Bend LCRA Recreation Area. The course is characterized by rocky and technical terrain. Participants can expect approximately 3,094 feet of elevation gain. Due to the local climate and dense vegetation, the trails often involve high heat and humidity. Several distance options and categories are available:

- 10K Ruck (6.2 miles)

- Youth 1-Mile Trail Run for children ages 12 and under
Youth Participation and Amenities
The youth event covers approximately one mile of rugged terrain. Parents are permitted to run alongside their children at no additional cost. Every participant in the youth category receives a finisher's medal upon completion. While standard event swag is provided to racers, shirts are subject to a specific registration deadline.
