17th Annual Captain Seth Mitchell HERO 5K Run and Walk
This event takes place on October 3, 2026 in Loveland, Ohio. Participants assemble at the Linda J Cox parking lot in downtown Loveland near Loveland Canoe and Kayak. The course is a 3.1 mile run and walk that begins and ends at Nisbet Park in Historic Loveland.
The program includes an in-person 5K Run/Walk and virtual participation options, including a location-specific virtual entry for Carolina Beach, North Carolina. Virtual participants may complete a 5K route of their choosing and post results on the event's virtual results page.
Timing is handled with MyLaps Bibtag chip timing and runners do not need to turn in their chip. Awards are given to the overall male and female finishers, and age-group standings will be posted in the online results. Post race refreshments are provided.
Registration fees are listed for both in-person and virtual entries. All proceeds benefit a memorial scholarship administered through the Loveland Schools Foundation. There are no refunds for this event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
