Captain Jack’s Treasure Run
Captain Jack’s Treasure Run is a pirate themed running event held in Redmond, Washington on October 25, 2026. The event has been organized annually for multiple years and features distance options for adults plus a separate kid’s race.
Distances
- 5K on the Sammamish River Trail south
- 8K out and back on the Sammamish River Trail north
- 12K out and back on the Sammamish River Trail north
The 8K and 12K routes run north on the Sammamish River Trail while the 5K runs south. The 12K has two aid stations that are each passed twice, the 8K has one aid station passed twice, and the 5K has no aid station. Aid stations are stocked with GU energy gels and Tailwind electrolytes. The event is conducted as cupless racing; participants are encouraged to use handheld bottles, hydration packs, or a small reusable cup.
All participants receive a finisher’s medal and a Captain Jack’s race shirt, with the exception of the kids race; free photo downloads are provided. The kid’s race is approximately one third of a mile and also awards a finisher’s medal.
Registrations are non refundable though entries may be deferred or transferred according to race policies. Youth and senior discounts apply to eligible ages. Parking guidance notes a large garage at 8711 160th Ave NE and limited parking at Redmond City Hall or Library. Overall and age group awards are presented at the race and must be picked up on site.
