Event Details
The Capital Pursuit 10-Mile is a running event held in Des Moines, Iowa. It will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The event consists of three race distances: a 10-mile race, a 4-mile race, and a free Junior Pursuit kids run.

The event will be held at Easter Lake Park, located at 2816 Shoreline Road in Des Moines.
Registration and Pricing
Registration for the 10-mile and 4-mile races opens on April 12, 2026.
- 10-Mile Race: The price starts at $50.
- 4-Mile Race: The price starts at $40.
- Junior Pursuit: This is a free kids run, though registration is required.
Prices for the main races increase on August 9, 2026 and again on August 31, 2026. Members of the Capital Striders running club receive a $10 discount when registering online.
Additional Information
All finishers of the 10-mile and 4-mile races will receive a finisher medal. The organizing club, Capital Striders, is a member of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA).
