Capital Pursuit 10-Mile
Capital Pursuit is organized by the Capital Striders and includes a main 10 mile race plus additional distances and a kids run. The course runs through parts of the City of Des Moines and 2026 is the event's 44th year.
The event takes place in Des Moines, Iowa, at 2816 Shoreline Road on September 13, 2026. Distances available at the event include:
- 10 Miles
- 4 Miles
- Junior Pursuit kids run
Registration opens April 12, 2026. For the 10 mile and 4 mile races registration closes August 10, 2026; registration for the Junior Pursuit kids run closes September 13, 2026. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $50.00 for the 10 mile race, $40.00 for the 4 mile race, and no fee for the kids run.
