Capital City Marathon
The Capital City Marathon is a two day running event held May 16 and 17, 2026 at Sylvester Park in Olympia, Washington. The event features multiple distance options to serve a broad range of participants.

The event uses a course that includes rolling hills and is organized with the support of volunteers. A post race festival provides food, music, massage and participant swag. The marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier.
The Capital City Marathon Association is a nonprofit, all volunteer organization that aims to promote health and well being in the South Sound community through running. Local businesses and community groups support the event by sponsoring water stops, providing refreshments, producing shirts and supplying awards. More than a dozen area high schools and the local community college participate in event operations.
For the 45th running the organizer is offering a retro themed registration promotion through December 31 with reduced fees and a retro style shirt included for those registrations at the reduced rate.
