Capernwray Mid Week Series September
Capernwray Mid Week Series September is a weekday multisport event held on 1 September 2027 at Capernwray Dive Centre, Jackdaw Quarry, Carnforth LA6 1AD. The programme includes triathlon, aquathlon, aquabike and open water swim races at the flooded quarry.
The swim takes place in the quarry's open water. The bike follows an undulating route through quiet Lancashire countryside and the run uses the Lancaster Canal towpath.
Race distances include:
- Triathlon: 500 m swim, 17.6 km bike, 4.3 km run
- Aquathlon: 500 m swim, 4.3 km run
- Aquabike: 500 m swim, 17.6 km bike
- Open water swims: 500 m, 1000 m, 1500 m
Entries open 1 December 2026 and close 31 August 2027. Minimum age is 15 years. Entry fees vary by event and distance, for example a triathlon entry is £35, a triathlon relay team entry is £45, aquathlon and aquabike entries are £25, and open water swim entries range from £10 to £20.
Included with entry are free parking, water safety cover, total time timing only, professional event photography, and toilets and changing facilities. Registration location is weather dependent and may be upstairs in the café or outside by transition. The event is organised by T2 Events.
