About the race
Capernwray Mid Week Series August is a one-day multisport event at Capernwray Dive Centre, Jackdaw Quarry, Capernwray Road, Carnforth LA6 1AD, GB, held on 4 August 2027. The programme includes triathlon, aquathlon, aquabike and open water swims in the flooded quarry at the site.
The course format combines a quarry swim, a bike section on undulating roads through the Lancashire countryside and a run along the Lancaster Canal towpath. Registration is weather dependent and takes place either upstairs in the café or outside by transition. A waterside race briefing is held shortly before the event. The minimum age is 15 years.
Entries open on 1 December 2026 and close on 3 August 2027. Entry fees listed for this event include Triathlon £35, Triathlon Relay team of 3 £45, Aquathlon £25, Aquabike £25, 500m Swim £10, 1000m Swim £15 and 1500m Swim £20.
Entries include free parking, water safety cover, timing recorded as total time only, professional event photography, and access to toilets and changing facilities.
