Cape Wrath Ultra - overview
The Cape Wrath Ultra is an annual multi-stage ultra running event in the Scottish Highlands. The full course covers 400 km over eight days and runs from Fort William to Cape Wrath. The route passes through Knoydart, Kintail, Torridon, Assynt and Sutherland and includes remote and varied terrain.
The race is organised as daily stages with overnight camps. Stage reports and news describe moorlands, mountains, glens, deep sea lochs and areas of glacial erosion such as knock-and-lochan topography. Route features mentioned in recent reports include the Falls of Glomach, Fisherfield Forest and the Cape Wrath Lighthouse at the finish.
