Event overview
The Cape Wrath Ultra is a multi-stage ultra running event in the Scottish Highlands. The full course covers 400 km over 8 days. The route starts in Fort William and finishes at Cape Wrath, with the Cape Wrath Lighthouse marking the finish. The event takes place annually in May. In 2026 the Ultra and Explorer are scheduled for 17–24 May 2026, and the Cape Wrath 100 is scheduled for 17–19 May 2026.
The programme includes two related options: the Cape Wrath 100, a 100‑mile multi-day challenge held over three days, and the Cape Wrath Explorer, where participants can choose to complete part of the race route each day.
