Cape May Hallowed Half Marathon
The Cape May Hallowed Half Marathon takes place in the coastal setting of Cape May, New Jersey. This autumn event offers multiple distance options for participants, with all races originating near the beach area. Athletes can choose from several categories:
- 13.1 Miles: An individual half marathon distance.
- 1/2 Marathon Relay: A two-person team effort where each participant completes 6.5 miles.
- 3.1 Miles: A standard 5k run.
The half marathon and relay events have specific pace requirements. Runners must reach the halfway point within 1 hour and 45 minutes and complete the full course within 3 hours and 30 minutes, which equates to a pace of 16:01 per mile. Those unable to meet these cut-off times are transported from the course by an official race vehicle.
Event logistics are centered at the LaMer Beachfront Resort. Athlete check-in is scheduled for Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning in the resort's back parking lot. For participants driving to the event, free on-street parking is available in the vicinity.
Included with registration is a long-sleeve race shirt provided to all runners. Those who complete their event receive a finisher medal. Following the race, the event hosts a Halloween-themed awards party featuring refreshments. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers, top masters, and the top three finishers in age groups ranging from 19 and under to 70 and above.
