Event Overview
The Cape May Hallowed Half Marathon takes place in Cape May, New Jersey. The event center and athlete check-in are located at the Beach Shack on Beach Ave. Participants can choose between three distinct running distances held on the same day:
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 13.1 Miles (Relay, where each participant runs 6.5 miles)
- 3.1 Miles (5k Run)
Course and Timing
The event enforces specific cut-off times for the longer distances. Runners participating in the half marathon must reach the halfway point within 1 hour and 45 minutes and complete the entire course by 3 hours and 30 minutes. This corresponds to a pace of 16:01 per mile. Participants who do not meet these times are transported from the course by an official race vehicle.
Awards and Recognition
The competition includes several award categories for the top three male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in the Master's category. Age group awards are also presented in ten-year increments, ranging from 19 and under to 70 and above. There are also awards for the top three relay teams. Following the race, participants can attend a Halloween-themed awards party featuring refreshments.
Participant Amenities
