Cape Fear Haunted Wine Run 5k
The event is a chip timed 5k run and walk held at Cape Fear Vineyard & Winery in Elizabethtown, North Carolina on October 24, 2026. The course starts and finishes at the winery and follows a two lap route through Greene's Lake Conservation Park.
Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible portable wine glass, a finisher medal, a race bib, online results, and a pour of wine for eligible participants. The race offers age group awards for the top three finishers in each category. Age groups are divided in ten year brackets: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and over.
Additional details note that competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for age group awards; if wave starts are used, winners must start in the first wave. There will be no age group ceremony; results are posted online and top finishers may pick up awards at the registration area. Age group awards are available for pickup on race day only.
Minors may participate with a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal, and bib but not a wine glass or a glass of wine. Strollers are permitted but not recommended because of uneven ground; children in strollers may participate free and do not need to register. Dogs are not allowed on site due to USDA rules for the farm venue.
