Cape Fear Haunted Wine Run 5K

The Cape Fear Haunted Wine Run 5K takes place on October 24, 2026 at Cape Fear Vineyard & Winery in Elizabethtown, North Carolina. The event is Halloween themed and is hosted at a resort property that includes a winery, distillery, museum, restaurant, tasting room, spa, event space, and the Tipsy Toad Gallery.

The main course is a cross country style route that is mostly grass and includes some mildly challenging terrain. The 5K run starts and finishes at the winery and registration for that entry includes a pour of wine after the run or walk. Volunteer entry options are listed separately with a lower registration fee.

The event is timed and scored by J3 Timing and results are posted online. Registered participants receive a super soft ring spun cotton t shirt with an option to upgrade to a hoodie for an additional fee, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, and a race bib with chip timing for the 5K.
