8th Annual CAPE Crusader 5K
The 8th Annual CAPE Crusader 5K is scheduled for April 4, 2026 in Daytona Beach, Florida. The event is hosted at Sun Splash Park, 611 S Atlantic Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32118, and features both an on-site beach run and walk and a virtual 5K. The distance for each event is 5K.
The event is presented as a community occasion to support and celebrate local citizens with autism. It takes place during International Autism Awareness month and is associated with the Light It Up Blue campaign that highlights autism awareness on major monuments.
Families and friends of students are encouraged to create and join teams. Students of the Chase Academy receive team-based perks when milestones are met: 4 student runners earn a pizza and ice cream party; 10 student runners add a week of no homework and a Teacher for the Day; 20 student runners add a Game Day at Dave and Buster's; 40 student runners add a jump pass to Sky Zone.
