Canyon to Coast : Island 22 Regional Park, Chilliwack
The event takes place at Island 22 Regional Park in Chilliwack and highlights the Fraser River, the Cheam Mountain Range and nearby farmland. Run Like A Girl Adventures Inc. organizes routes that run mainly on wide urban dike trails and some farm roads, with generally flat terrain.
Distances offered:
- 42 km Marathon, out and back to the Agassiz Bridge
- 21 km Half marathon, out and back
- 11 km Out and back route
- 4 km Loop on Island 22 trails
Registration includes a $5.00 donation to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, a finisher’s medal for all participants, a race bib, aid stations, finish line food and overall awards for the top three finishers. Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drink mix and snacks; toilets are available at aid stations. Timing is handled via a timing app or manual tracking rather than chip timing. The event is cupless and asks participants to carry a reusable cup.
A virtual option is available with mailed event packages and medals. Trails are shared with cyclists, walkers and horseback riders; dogs must follow park leash rules. Parking at the park is limited and carpooling is encouraged. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
