Event overview
The Canyon City Classic takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Azusa, CA (320 North Orange, Azusa, CA 91702). The event program includes the following race options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K Run/Walk
- 5K Run/Walk Youth (open to ages 17 and under)
- 10K Run/Walk Youth (open to ages 17 and under)
- Cutie Fun Run (1K)
A community festival runs alongside the finish area and features vendor and sampling booths, interactive activities, and musical entertainment. Net proceeds will benefit Azusa youth sports programs and local nonprofit organizations.
Course, services and logistics
Both the 5K and 10K courses are described as flat. The 5K starts near Memorial Park on Orange and follows tree-lined streets, passes Zacatecas Park, returns on 1st Street and North San Gabriel with views of the Azusa foothills, then finishes near Orange Avenue and Hollyvale Street. The 10K is two loops of the same route. The Cutie 1K follows the perimeter of Memorial Park and finishes in the same area.
Hydration is provided twice on the 5K and four times on the 10K; electrolyte drinks are available on course and at the finish. A roving first aid team will cover the route and a first aid station will be in the main expo area. Packet pickup includes a T-shirt and die-cast finisher medal.
