About the race
The ACT Aquathlon Championships form the final round of the Canberra Swim Run Series and take place on 28 February 2027 at Black Mountain Peninsula, Acton, beside Lake Burley Griffin. The event uses open-water lake swimming and on-shore running around the peninsula. The Long Course is designated as the State Championship and a National Qualifier for selection to the Australian Age-Group Multisport Team for the 2027 World Triathlon Multisport Championships in Edmonton.
Multiple race formats are scheduled on the day, with swim and run legs as follows:
- Long Course: Swim 1000 m, Run 5.00 km
- Short Course: Swim 500 m, Run 2.50 km
- Kids Long Course: Swim 100 m, Run 2.00 km
- Kids Short Course: Swim 100 m, Run 1.00 km
- Swim only: Swim 2000 m
- Teaser Course: Swim 250 m, Run 2.50 km
