About the race
The Round-Up Relay is an annual team relay held at Fadden Pines District Park on the bike path south-east of the playground. It is open to people aged 9 years and over and typically brings together participants of varying ability.
Each team has six legs of about 750 m, followed by a final larger lap in which the first runner gradually collects their teammates so the whole team finishes together. The total event distance is indicated as 5.25-9 km. The relay takes about two hours to complete and is followed by refreshments.
Participant numbers are capped at 60. Entrants must provide an estimated minutes-per-kilometre pace based on a recent 5 km race; organisers use these paces to allocate runners into teams of six so that teams are of roughly equal ability. Registrations open 10 January 2027. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
