Canberra Runners Half Marathon and 10 km 2026
The Canberra Runners Half Marathon and associated events take place at Lennox Gardens, Yarralumla on 16–17 May 2026. The half marathon follows an out and back course around the West Basin of Lake Burley Griffin to Scrivener Dam, is undulating, and passes views of Government House and Parliament House. The course starts and finishes at Lennox Gardens and is accessible by public transport, bike, or car. Flynn Drive and Alexandrina Drive will be closed for parts of the morning.
Distances
- 21.1 km Half Marathon - out and back via West Basin to Scrivener Dam
- 10 km race - follows a modified course to Weston Park and return
- 1.6 km junior run for two age waves on the Saturday
The half marathon and 10 km races are fully timed. The half marathon has a completion cut off of 3 hours 30 minutes. Drink stations are located at approximately 4 km, 8.5 km, 12.5 km, and 17 km for the half marathon and at approximately 4 km and 6 km for the 10 km. A recovery area at the finish will provide fruit, water, and an energy drink. Finishers receive medals; prizes are awarded to top male and female finishers in each event. Race bibs may be collected at the race village on Saturday afternoon or on race morning during designated collection periods.
Entry categories, early and standard entry fees, membership discount prices, entry closing date, age minimums, limited merchandise and training program options are specified for entrants. Refunds for withdrawals before 30 April 2026 may be considered and cancellations may result in a carryover or partial refund less administration costs.
