Canal Diggers 5K : Worcester, MA
The Canal Diggers 5K is an annual community road race held on September 12, 2026, with the start and finish located at Fiddler's Green, 19 Temple Street, Worcester, Massachusetts. The event marks the 20th running and includes an in-person 5K, a Kids Fun Run, and virtual 5K options.
Virtual participants may run and submit times between September 7 and September 11, 2026. The first 600 registered participants, virtual or in person, will receive a long sleeve shirt. All virtual runners are guaranteed a medal. In-person runners can expect post-race food, water, pizza, live entertainment, non-alcoholic beverages, and two courtesy tickets for beer for participants aged 21 and over.
Packet pick up is scheduled at Sneakerama on September 10 and September 11, with additional packet pick up at the race location on race day. There is no race day registration; registration closes on September 11, 2026. Team entries are available with a minimum of three members and awards for the top three teams.
Registration uses tiered pricing: an early rate of $20, a subsequent rate of $30, a later rate of $35, and a higher fee at packet pick up.
