Canal Corridor 100 Mile Endurance Run
The Canal Corridor Endurance Run is an ultra running event held October 10-11, 2026 in downtown Akron, Ohio. It offers three distances that use the Towpath Trail along the Ohio and Erie Canalway and start and finish at Missing Falls Brewery (540 S Main St, Akron, OH 44311).
- 100 Mile
- Front Half 50 Mile
- Back Half 50 Mile
The course follows the Towpath Trail, a crushed limestone route with occasional asphalt or concrete sections (about 70% limestone and 30% asphalt). Total elevation gain for the full 100 mile course is about 1500 feet, with the front 50 mile approximately 950 feet and the back 50 mile approximately 550 feet. Aid and water stations are spaced roughly every 4 to 6 miles, alternating staffed full aid stations and unstaffed water and gel locations; staffed stations will offer water, electrolyte drink and food, including hot items at night.
Courses are USATF certificated and sanctioned for 2026, and the 2026 edition serves as a qualifier for the 2027 Western States Endurance Run lottery. Time limits are expressed as durations: 32 hours for the 100 mile, 15 hours for the front 50 mile, and 20 hours for the back 50 mile. The event has a 500 entrant capacity; registration opens February 1, 2026 and online registration closes October 8, 2026. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race and limited pickup is available race morning at the start/finish location.
Entrant items and awards: 100 mile entrants receive premium apparel, 50 mile entrants receive a long sleeve shirt; 100 mile finishers receive buckles by time bracket and 50 mile finishers receive medallions. Overall and age group awards are given in multiple categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
