Campfire 5K
Campfire 5K takes place on 09/26/2026 at Camp Skyline, 5650 Sandhill Road, Almont, MI 48003. The event offers two distances and uses non-public trails and roads on Camp Skyline property.

Both courses include wooded trails, open fields, and a private dirt road. No public roads are used as part of the event. Strollers, wheelchairs, and walkers may be used at participants' own risk; the routes include steep inclines and declines as well as rocks, roots, and other natural trail obstructions. Dogs are not allowed.
Registration opens 10/29/2025. Registration closes for the 5K on 09/23/2026 and for the 1 Mile on 09/24/2026. Fees listed are $30.00 for the 5K and $20.00 for the 1 Mile. A race t-shirt is guaranteed only for those registered before 09/22.
Timing is chip based and provided by Ope Racing Company. Included for participants are a finisher medal, post race banana and water, and the opportunity to make a s'more after the event. Camp Skyline's kitchen will offer coffee, other beverages, and treats available for purchase.
Awards are planned by distance. The 1 Mile will present ungendered first place awards in age groups 10 & under, 11-14, 15-17, and 18+. The longer race will present first place awards for male and female in age groups 10 & under, 11-14, 15-17, 18-54, and 55+, plus first and second overall awards for male and female.
