Camp Saratoga 5K Trail Series
The Camp Saratoga 5K Trail Series is a set of five evening trail races held at Town of Wilton Camp Saratoga in Gansevoort, NY. The series takes place on five Mondays in summer: June 22, July 6, July 20, August 3, and August 17. Runners meet near the restrooms in Parking Lot #1 and #2 at the camp.
Distance: 5K on trails. The course for 2026 follows the 2024 alignment that avoids the endangered Karner Blue butterfly area; participants are asked to respect those habitat areas during the late May and early July mating season.
Field and registration details are specified per race and for the full series. The series cap is set at 375 total entries to limit trail impact, averaging about 75 runners per evening. Day of registration is permitted if space remains; day of entries are accepted by cash or check and are first come first served. Fees are tiered: adults $10 per race or $40 for the series; ages 13 to 18 $5 per race or $20 for the series; under 13 free. A Saratoga Stryders membership discount of 25% is available.
The event is outdoors and includes light refreshments and raffle prizes. Participants are asked to bring their own water. Proceeds benefit the Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
