Camp Newaygo Trick-or-Trot 5K Run/Walk
Camp Newaygo hosts a 5K Trick-or-Trot run and walk on private camp roads with gentle terrain. The course is partially open and uncertified, and it follows a route along a chain of lakes surrounded by woods and water. Costumes are encouraged and canine participants are welcome on leash.
Timing results will be posted online after the event. Awards and medals will be given immediately following the race to the top male and female finishers in these categories: Overall, Masters, Senior (60+), Adult 50-59, Adult 40-49, Adult 29-39, Adult 19-28, High school, and Middle/Elementary.
All participants receive a race t-shirt and race-day goodies from Ridge Catering. Each race registration includes one pass to Camp Newaygo's Costume and Campfire event, usable on October 25 or October 26 from 1 to 4 pm. Register by October 13 at 5 pm to receive a size-specific shirt; registrations after that date will receive size large. Online registration is required, and the listed registration fee is $30.00.
Parking is free; drivers should proceed up the main camp road where parking attendants will direct vehicles. All race proceeds benefit Camp Newaygo's mission of supporting children and families. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
