Camp Newaygo Trick-or-Trot 5k Run/Walk
Camp Newaygo hosts a 5K run and walk on private camp roads in Newaygo, Michigan. The course starts and ends at Camp Newaygo and follows a route along a chain of lakes with woods and water nearby. The course is uncertified, partially open, and features gentle terrain.
Costumes are encouraged and canine runners are welcome on leash. Runners’ times will be posted online after the event. Awards will be handed out immediately following the race for top finishers in male and female divisions across multiple categories: Overall, Masters, Senior 60 and over, Adult 50 to 59, Adult 40 to 49, Adult 29 to 39, Adult 19 to 28, High school, and Middle/Elementary. Medal awards are given to male and female winners in all categories.
All participants receive a race t-shirt and postrace goodies from Ridge Catering. Each registration includes one pass to Camp Newaygo's Costume and Campfire, which features pumpkin carving, outdoor adventure activities, outdoor cooking, and additional camp activities.
Online registration is required. Registration opens August 13 and closes October 19; the registration fee is $30. Register by October 12 for size specific race shirts; later registrations will receive size large. Parking is free and attendants will direct vehicles up the main camp road.
