Event

Camp Lug-A-Chug is a volunteer weekend held on the weekend of July 25, 2026 (Saturday and Sunday) at Marble Mountain Sno Park near Cougar, WA. The activity supports the Volcanic race by hiking water and supplies into remote aid stations on the volcano. Each day's hike in and out is about 9 miles roundtrip. There is no fee to participate. A prize of a free race entry is awarded to the person who carries the most weight relative to their body weight.

Logistics

Volunteers meet at the Marble Mountain Sno Park lower lot to divide supplies and hike into the aid stations. Participants are asked to bring a large backpack, the snacks and water they will consume on the hike, and trekking poles if available; some loaner backpacks are available. Camping is possible nearby on Friday and Saturday nights for those who stay the weekend. Registration for the event opens February 1, 2026.
