Race Overview
The Camelback Run is the 47th annual edition of this road race, sponsored by the Fremont Elite Runners Club. The event takes place in Fremont, Ohio.
Distances
The event offers four different race distances:
- 10K Run
- 5K Run
- 2K Kids Run for participants aged 12 and under
- 1/4 Mile Camel Calves for participants aged 7 and under
Registration and Logistics
Registration is available online and by mail. Pre-registered participants receive a guaranteed event shirt in adult sizes for the 10K and 5K, and youth sizes for the kids' events. An additional fee applies for adult 2XL shirts. Youth event participants who pre-register by a specific date receive a youth-sized soft t-shirt. Race day registration is also available at a higher fee, starting at 6:30 AM at St. Joseph Bishop Hoffman High School and closing at 7:45 AM.
Awards are presented for the 10K and 5K events, including overall, masters, grand masters, and top three finishers in multiple age groups. Awards are also given to the top male and female finishers in the 2K kids' run, with finisher awards for all other youth participants. An awards ceremony is scheduled after the races.
Schedule
Packet pickup is available the evening before the race. On race day, the 10K and 5K start together. The youth events follow later, with their start time potentially adjusted based on the progress of the 10K. Post-race festivities are planned for downtown Fremont.
