Cambridge Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 5K
The Cambridge Thanksgiving Turkey Trot is a community 5-kilometre road race on Thursday, November 27, 2025, held at The Coila Church, 93 NY-372, Cambridge, NY 12816. The event is the fourth annual edition. The listed entry fee is $25.
The course starts and finishes at the old brick Coila Church on State Route 372 and runs toward the village of Cambridge. The route includes Old Coila Road, portions of downtown, and a stretch by the old Cambridge Hotel before returning along main street. Course maps are provided at check-in, the route will be clearly marked, and law enforcement will control the course. Snacks, beverages, finish photos, and finisher goodies are provided at the finish.
Logistics and rules
Packet pickup is available the evening before (Wednesday, November 26, 4:00–5:00 pm) and the morning of the race (Thursday, November 27, 7:00–8:00 am). Family members may pick up packets for immediate family. Day-of registration is available with no upcharge. Race T-shirts are guaranteed only for participants who purchase them before Friday, November 7; a limited number may be available at packet pickup afterward.
This year all registration profits will support the Cambridge Food Pantry; bins for additional canned and dry goods donations will be at the church. Strollers are allowed if started near the back of the pack. Bikes are not permitted on the course. Walkers may finish within 1.5 hours. Awards are planned for Top 3 Men, Top 3 Women, Top 3 Men Ages 60+, and Top 3 Women Ages 60+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
