Camarillo Marathon
The Camarillo Marathon is the 15th annual road race held in Camarillo, California, with a USATF certified course number CA18033RS and status as a Boston Qualifier. The event uses Pleasant Valley Fields Park as the starting area and course access point.
Race options include the following distances:
- Marathon : four loops of the course
- Half Marathon : two loops of the course
- 10K
- 5K
The course is described as mostly flat, run along a bike path with scenic views, and is spectator friendly. A seven hour time limit applies to the full marathon, allowing walkers and walking clubs to complete the distance. An early start option is offered for full marathon entrants who require extra time; early starters must know the course and arrange timing registration in advance and be self-sufficient for water during the initial portion.
Aid stations are provided along the route, using cup-less, foot pedal water dispensers; reusable cups are available for purchase at packet pickup or on race day. Portable toilets are placed roughly every 1.5 miles, with additional restrooms at the park. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at Ruby's Tequila Bar, where participants collect timing chips, bibs, and shirts.
