15th Annual Camarillo Marathon
The Camarillo Marathon takes place at Pleasant Valley Fields Park in Camarillo, California. The event features a course primarily located on a paved bike path, which is closed to automobile traffic. The terrain is described as flat, making it a suitable environment for participants aiming for a personal record or a Boston Marathon qualification. The course is USATF certified (#CA18033RS).
Participants can choose from several distances:
- Marathon (4 loops)
- Half Marathon (2 loops)
- 10 km
- 5 km
The event emphasizes environmentally sound practices and operates as a cup-less race to reduce waste. Runners are encouraged to bring their own hydration vessels or use the foot-pedal-operated water dispensing units provided at stations. Reusable cups are available for purchase at packet pickup or on the day of the event.
Registered runners receive a variety of rewards, including a custom finisher medal, a premium sublimated tech shirt, a runner's hat with the event logo, and a reusable tote bag. Specialized medals are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers in each race, the top three in each age group, and the top three teams across all distances. A post-race party features an expo and a plate of street tacos for all participants.
For those requiring additional time, a 7-hour time limit is provided for the full marathon. An early start option is also available for the marathon distance by prior arrangement. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
