Camarillo Marathon
The Camarillo Marathon is the 15th annual edition of a road running event held at Pleasant Valley Fields Park in Camarillo, California. The course is USATF certified (CA18033RS) and is a Boston qualifying course. The full marathon uses four loops of the course and the half marathon uses two loops.
The route is described as mostly flat and follows a bike path with scenic views; it is spectator friendly and suitable for walkers and strollers. Organizers provide multiple aid stations along the course and use cup-less water stations with hands-free dispensers; runners who forget a cup can purchase a reusable cup at packet pickup or race-day check-in.
Support facilities include porta-potties placed along the course and free-standing bathrooms at the park. Packet pickup is scheduled the Saturday before the race at Ruby's Tequila Bar, where participants collect timing chips, bibs, and race shirts; packet pickup on race day is also available but there is no race day registration. An early start option exists for full marathon entrants who notify the organizers in advance and who must know the course to use that option.
Awards are given to the top three overall men and women in each race, top three in each age group for all distances, and top three teams. The event does not offer refunds but entries may be deferred to another event within 12 months subject to fee differences. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
