Camarillo Marathon
The Camarillo Marathon is an annual road race held along the Camarillo Bike Path, using paved routes with no auto traffic. The event is a USATF certified course CA18033RS and is designated as a Boston Qualifier. The event location is Pleasant Valley Fields Park, 150 Westpark Ct, Camarillo, CA 93012. This edition is the 15th running of the event.
The full marathon is run as four loops of the course and the half marathon is two loops. The full marathon has a seven hour time limit. An early start option is offered for full marathon runners who notify organizers in advance; early starters should be self-sufficient for the first portion of the course because water stations may not be fully staffed during that period.
The event is described as walker friendly and spectator friendly. Multiple race distances are offered:
- Full marathon: four loops of the course
- Half marathon: two loops of the course
- 10K
- 5K
All runners receive race swag including a finisher medal, a premium sublimated finisher shirt, a premium runner's hat with the event logo, and a re-usable tote bag; the organizer notes the swag value exceeds one hundred dollars. The post-race party includes a complimentary plate of street tacos for runners; additional plates and tickets for guests are available for purchase at eight dollars each.
Water stations operate without disposable cups. Runners can use hands-free foot pedal dispensers and reusable cups are available for purchase at packet pickup or race day check-in for three dollars. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
