California Classic Half Marathon
The California Classic Half Marathon takes place on April 25, 2026, in Fresno, California, with activities centered at Chukchansi Park and routes that pass through Fresno Chaffee Zoo. The event marks the 15th running of The Classic and includes both on-site and virtual options.

Half Marathon and 10K participants run through Sea Lion Cove, African Adventure, and the New Kingdom of Asia at Fresno Chaffee Zoo, and finish at Chukchansi Park. The 10K is a point-to-point 6.2 mile course that starts just outside the zoo and winds through downtown Fresno. 10K runners are bused from Chukchansi Park to the zoo for the start. The Rock and Run 5K does not go through the zoo but receives the same participant amenities.
Common race amenities for Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K participants include chip timing, a finisher medallion, a gender-specific tech shirt, post-race breakfast, free photo downloads, text message results, participant tracking, a beer garden for ages 21 and over, a hot fudge sundae, and a collector pin. Half Marathon competitors also have overall cash awards and designated pace leaders.
Packet pickup is scheduled for April 24 at Fleet Feet Fresno, Riverview Shopping Center, 9447 N Fort Washington Rd, Fresno. There is no packet pickup at the zoo; morning packet pickup must be completed at Chukchansi Park before boarding buses for the 10K start.
