About the race
The Calgary Heartbeat Run marks its 12th anniversary at Baker Park in Calgary. This event serves as a fundraiser to support the Heart and Stroke Foundation, aiming to raise awareness and funds for all aspects of cardiovascular care. The event is open to various participants, including individuals who have previously experienced cardiac events.
Participants can select from the following distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km Run/Walk
- 3 km Walk
- 1 km Fun Run
All registrations include a commemorative cotton casual shirt, though availability is not guaranteed for those registering after early September. Participants under the age of 18 must have a statement signed by a parent or legal guardian to take part. Additionally, all participants are required to present a photo ID at the event check-in.
The event takes place at Baker Park, located at 9333 Scenic Bow Rd. N.W. Registration remains open until the event is sold out or until the day before the race. In the event that the physical race cannot proceed due to pandemic restrictions, a virtual event option or deferred entry to the following year may be provided.
